I attend grade-level Reading PLCs  every other Monday (Week B).  The other Mondays (Week A), the Library is open for students to check-in and check-out as needed.

Our Library lessons revolve around Literacy, Inquiry & Information Skills, Digital Citizenship, and Library Navigation.

Literacy - Students participate in lessons that connect with their classroom instruction inn reading comprehension.

Inquiry & Information Skills - Students learn how to develop a line of inquiry using print materials and Plano ISD databases.

Digital Citizenship - Students learn how to be safe, smart, and responsible  when they are online.

Library Navigation - Students learn how to find books they want using our Library Catalog and locate them by understanding the organizational pattern of the Library.

Pre-K - 2nd grade classes visit the Library once a week. Pre-K, Kinder, and 1st Grade check out one book a week. 2nd grade students check out two books a week.  

3rd-5th grade classes visit the Library every two weeks. These students can check out up to three books at a time and return any time throughout the week to check out books as they finish.
